"Come on guys. Tighten the gap. Don't fall behind. You're easy to pick off when you split off from the group." Loud sounds of gun fire and explosions rocked the area as Luck looked around warily. She only had track of one of her teammates. The gecko male trailed her closely, his gun at the ready. "Another gunshot rang out, a single one that sent it's deadly projectile through the air and into the ground before the feline's feet, having traveled first through her teammate. Luck gasped as one word went through her mind. "Sniper." she thought as she took cover in an abandoned building. "Charles can you hear me? Brian just went down. There's a sniper. Felicia? Max? Can anyone hear me? Is anyone else left?" asked the female as her breath quickened. No one was responding. That could only mean one thing. She was alone. She didn't know how many enemies were left either. Things were not looking good for her. She checked her ammo count and sighed as she realized that she'd forgotten to reload as well at the camp. She peeked over her cover and saw a little bit of movement on a nearby rooftop overlooking the building she was in. "He's positioning himself. This is my chance." she said as she put her SMG away. On her back she carried her own sniper rifle. She knew it was a good idea to come ready for different types of combat. She lay on the ground on her back and barely peeked the barrel of the gun over the counter she was hiding behind. From this position she could see most of the roof, it would only take a movement from her enemy to alert her where to shoot. A moment later and the shot she had been waiting for presented itself. The other sniper stepped close to the edge of the roof to scan for her, he wouldn't know what hit him. She held her breath and squeezed the triger lightly. A loud shot rang out as the bullet traveled the distance between them and continued on into the air through the head of the enemy. Luck closed her eyes and sighed in relief as she pulled it off, but her eyes opened wide a moment later as she heard the unmistakable sound of footsteps approaching. She looked up to see another enemy fur standing over her now, aiming his shotgun down at her. "Thanks for letting me know where you were." he said smugly. Luck gasped as she tried to pull the trigger on her rifle again, but it was too late, a spray of buckshot flew from the male's shotgun and filled her vision with red.
"Damn it." said Luck annoyed as she stomped her feet. She was in her room, the controller to her video game was in her hand, but flashing on the screen in big letters was "Game Over. Red Team Loses." "Note to self, next time bring a silencer." she muttered to herself as the familiar bursts of static came through her headset. "You did good Luck. Don't beat yourself up." said a female voice over the set. "Yeah. That guy was the last one standing on their team, and he had been camping the whole game." said a male voice next. "I know. I'm just a bit disappointed." she replied. "Up for another sudden death round?" asked another male voice. "Nah. I think I'm done for tonight guys. I'll see you online later." said Luck before a few goodbyes from her associates signaled her to turn her console off. She stretched in her blue tank top and jeans as she removed the headset and placed it and her controller on her dresser next to her. She rubbed her eyes and looked at the ceiling tiredly. "I wonder what Sly and 'Neki are up to." she thought to herself as she stood next.
Luck walked through the darkened house toward the glow she saw coming from the living room. When she entered she saw the wolfox and calico cuddled up next to each other watching a movie. He was wearing a black shirt and sweat pants, and Maneki was wearing a burgundy shirt and a pair of red panties. "My buddy's Eddie V. A sourpuss you'll see. But when I'm done he'll need no gun because a joker he will be..." came the light voice on the screen. "Good evening Luck. Have fun playing your game?" asked the wolfox male. Luck sighed a little, not wanting to be reminded of what had just happened. "Not really. A little worked up now. I need to chill out." she replied truthfully. "Why not watch the movie with Master and me? This is his favorite movie. I haven't seen it before, but I like it so far." said Maneki comfortingly. Luck recognized the movie. It had been a while since she had last seen it herself. "Come on Kitten. Have a seat." said Sly patting the cushion next to him. Luck blushed lightly at the mention of her pet name. "Yes Master." she replied softly as she took her seat next to him. She gasped a little as she felt him pull her closer. She looked at the male as he winked at her softly before shyly looking away from him to watch the movie now. Maneki cuddled closer to her Master as well, sighing herself as he pulled her closer too. This was going to be a cozy night it seemed.
