While i'm getting the new art scanned and cleaned-up i'll post a few more old pics....

This is an Azha and Hannsie attempted page back from around '99 or so...The characters had been around for a few years with rough story idea....thought i'd try a test page..
i had been flirting with using Vaughn Bode's boarder style in some pics (it's as much my heritage style as Kirby, Frazetta, Mucha, Gaughan, etc) - but i wasn't sure how much of the style felt right to use - what part fit into my own sensibilities....So here was a typical Bode style page - four same size panels with open boarders, word balloons to go above each panel....

i didn't finish the page because it felt wrong - it was too close to Bode's approach...i would rather vary the panel size and have the word balloons inside the panels (and yes sometimes Bode did that as well...)....

Part of doing art is that we get all these hand-me-down clothes....figuring out what to use, what to change, what to toss....

Still, i'm rather fond of this failed page, and will re-do and finish it up sometime later this year if possible. :)
