Emma and Ash test page - getting there

From a few months ago...
So after a few months of reflection on the failed page test and bad mood i tried again...
i had thought of trying this sort of boarder style for the story for years, but thought it wouldn't work even though i'd never tried drawing a page like that....
Went back and forth between ideas of doing it western style or manga style boarders...or early Moebius or Miyazaki style ruff simple boarders...
Most of the development art etc was done with this sort of open boarders....and this seems to feel right....
So now i'll try doing a few page sequence from the story in this style....i think it will work ! ^_^
11x15 pencil (this is the 2nd pass on the pecils)

Yeah, that's her fave dress - she's a bit of a tom-boy, doen't dress-up much ...
