One of my favorite things in Animorphs is the oft-maligned Taxxons. Elfangor said they were evil, and for most of the series the Animorphs agreed, but in a few key books we learned the truth - They are just desperate people who made an alliance with the Yeerks for food, and that alliance backfired when the Yeerks betrayed them. There's something compelling in that to me.

This was an exploration of how Taxxon mouths might work, inspired by the squidsharks from Subnautica: Below Zero. No ponies were harmed in the making of this image.
