One of my favorite things in Animorphs is the oft-maligned Taxxons. Elfangor said they were evil, and for most of the series the Animorphs agreed, but in a few key books we learned the truth - They are just desperate people who made an alliance with the Yeerks for food, and that alliance backfired when the Yeerks betrayed them. There's something compelling in that to me.

This was one of my first attempts at drawing a Taxxon. I'm not particularly happy with their book designs, so I've always deviated just a little, particularly around the mouth. Taxxons are supposed to burrow through dirt and stone, and the only canon illustrations of Taxxons don't have the right mouths for that.
