The original drawing “Silly Lion” was done five years ago (2006) and I only got around to coloring it now. It just shows how long it takes for me to get around to doing things like this. :-D
As a completely useless side note, the music I have been listening to as I worked was the soundtrack from SHREK. I am listening to the finale at this moment, which I think is appropriate as I am about to send off “SL”.
Remember to be silly once in a while and laugh.

Oooooo! The t-shirt with Bob's image and that of a lion on it is one of my favorites -- bought it in Bermuda.
The black mane is a first for me -- which I probably will be playing with more in the future. The stocking cap comes from a picture by a furry artist from more than six years ago (which is somewhere in my furry art "library" (which currently holds 43,877 furry images)).

Being aware of all the artistic furry sterotypes, I like to break them occasionally. A fox for instance who is not interested in sex, but is a "scummy opportist". A wolf who is not two-and-a-half-meters in height & half-as-wide that prefers to read a book instead of shooting a gun. Off the artistic main throughfares as it were.
You're probably right about that. Strange how things work out, isn't it? A rabbit wants cereal and can't get it, a coo-coo doesn't want cereal and it's forced on him, a tiger wants to share his cereal with everyone, and a leprechaun wants to keep everyone else from getting his cereal!
I like detail-oriented artists like you, Lionus. It makes looking at a piece of art that much more fun! Oh, and a bit of science says this guy would actually be more popular with the ladies than your namesake or Dai would be: http://www.newscientist.com/article.....ing-manes.html
Fascinating article, Indy. "Pussyfooting" indeed.
It can also be noted that the reverse of the research's findings seems to prove what was put forward in the title of the 1949 stage musical, "Gentlemen Prefer Blonds".
At least Dai and my namesake will not lack for male companionship. :-D

In all my artworks I think "Silly Lion" is been the only one in which a character is sticking out his tongue. I am sure that that reveals something profound about me, my characters, or maybe just how silly I think sticking out one's tongue makes one appear.
BTW, did you know that "toque" is a French word meaning "lake trout"?
