Thank you! All I asked was it be taken into consideration, I wasnt trying to step on anyone's toes haha.
I've seen the term "gypsy" and "eskimo" being thrown around when they're both in the same leagues of racism and as an indigenous person I just wanted to kindly remind them XD

"Often offensive"
Other sources on google also point out that it is offensive. It is like calling someone who is Asian a "ch*ink"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romani_people
In the English language, the Romani people are widely known by the exonym Gypsies (or Gipsies), which is considered pejorative by many Romani people due to its connotations of illegality and irregularity as well as its historical use as a racial slur
If you want more sources, I can grab them.

Funnily enough, where I'm from, Gipsy is actually what we call Romani people when we want to be correct with them (there are other terms that also are rather neutral, but that one is probably the most common and they tend to wear it with sort of pride), calling them Roms or Romas is the actual offensive term and I just would not do that in front of any of them, as I actually would very much like to keep having my legs working properly.
During last winter's (2020/21) storms, I walked down to the shore of Lake Erie to see the damage. It was still dark but enough light to see the mess.... A girl appeared from the other direction and I spent half an hour talking with her. She called herself a Gypsy. She said her entire family were Gypsy. Apparently who is insulted by it and who not, varies across the entire spectrum.
I appreciate the concern, but as an irish gypsy or 'black gypsy' please keep in mind, romanians are not the only kind. It's like saying all black people are african, when there are many locations the race originates from. I also don't believe they meant anything mean in saying it, sounded like a compliment tbh.
I speak for myself when I say I have no problem with the term, though I am sure many people do. It's just one of those things where sometimes, there just isn't a good blanket term for everyone. My advice is, if someone mentions they have a different heritage/culture/race, just ask how they would like to be referred to; and if a term is offensive to many, just try to be aware of that.

I'm white so what you say definitely has more, if not all of the, authority, but like. If something is widely considered offensive, isn't it better to just... err on the side of caution when referring to a group of people? Like you said, it's difficult because sometimes there isn't a good blanket term and some individuals don't mind certain terms.
Like... using me being trans as an example. An individual trans guy might not mind being called a "c*ntboy", but the majority tends to hate it, so calling trans men as a group (where asking an individual what they prefer isn't applicable)"c*ntboys" would be incredibly unwise. THAT'S KIND OF WHERE I'M COMING FROM, if that makes sense? Hmnhmn.
If you don't want to answer my question, I totally understand!

As far as I'm aware time these corrections usually come not from the minority groups themselves but starbucks-drinking "philosophers" who think they know better than these very minorities. Case in point being "latinx" which if you ask the same type of people is an inclusive term yet it's universally hated by latin americans themselves.
Likewise, I see everywhere claim that 'gipsy' is offensive and a handful of loud voices complaining about it but no proper survey on whether they truly find it offensive. Specially when the alternative term obviously creates an inaccurate stereotype, like that time Morgan Freeman pointing out that suddendly he became "african"

In this case, there are multiple different groups to which the term potentially applies, and not all of them regard it as offensive. But even then, there are always alternative, equally-valid, acceptable terms we can learn to use instead - I believe 'Traveler' is a widely-accepted one for non-Romani, but don't quote me on that. It costs nothing to break yourself of the habit.
Also, there's a difference between calling someone a 'g*psy' and saying 'latinx.' To many people, the first is a slur used to abuse them. The second is an attempt at an inclusive label that a lot of people think just sounds stupid.

But "traveler," doesn't cover what a Gypsy historically is, that being a nomad who holds no ties to established borders or governments, regardless of whatever the stereotypes attached to it.
The word that does cover what a Gypsy is, historically, is the word Gypsy.
Seriously, whatever happened to "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me?"
I do not claim ANY power over the words other people say. I don't want that power, and I reject people trying to apply that power over me.
What power I DO have, and I love to use, is the ability to reject and ignore what other people say. They may try to upset me, but the only person in control of whether I wind up upset or not, is me.
So, I will not try to prevent you from speaking, or force you to use words that don't actually mean what you are trying to say. But I don't have to listen to you either. Nor do you have to listen to me.

Well I apologize if my choice of word's came out as a means of offending, I mean't nothing racial in mind when I typed it out, just the dress style reminded me of the culture, I admit I don't follow terms in the way thing's are, but I'll be sure next time I'll speak more carefully without causing a negative reaction, thank you.
Right, so I'd just like to point out... Most of the time (not always, but most of the time) there is one specific group who gets all offended on behalf of others and comes up with a term they deem to be less offensive. And that group is American white upper class liberals. Just like they didn't actually bother to ask for the opinion of black people when they collectively decided that "colored" needs to be changed to "people of color" all of a sudden, so did they not really care about Gypsies when deciding that they should be called Roma now. And frankly, one of the comments in this whole thread that mentions a Gypsy girl who only referred to herself as Gypsy, and an actual Gypsy who also commented here saying they have no problem with the term, are kinda proving that.
On a completely random tangent, as a Ukrainian, I don't mind it when Russians try to insult me by calling me a Banderovets :3

Oh she was romani? That would explain a bit. We've seen her in reds so much but Nora can work blues just as nice. Get her a tambourine, I don't know she just looks like she'd work it.
Dahial seems like she really did care dispite her frosty exterior. Hope good things come to her too, this fairy tale story might fix her disillusionment or at least hoping for her own Savior.

I gotta hand it to you, the Gypsy-esque outfit for Nora is perfect. It matches her so well, and it's nice to see her so genuinely happy.
The real show-stopper, for me at least, is Christopher's expressions! You gave a SHARK of all things the ability to gaze with absolute tenderness when looking at the woman he loves. That's just flat-out incredible.

It's crazy to think he could have rescued her sooner- but he wanted to do it legit. Had he beaten the owner down and took her away- it would have been 'theft' and therefore, guards / bounties would always be after him. He played the long game so they can be together without all of that, which ... sucks he had to make her wait so long but it looks like it paid off. Good for them.
This still raises the question of agency. He said ‘I buy this girl.’
Is he buying her as property or he paying to release her out of bondage.
I’m sure either way she’d be happy in the short term. But in the long run, being reminded that you’re property, even if it by someone you love, would get old very fast.
And how will they have sex with out the potion? Or will they even have sex again?

Chris has a regular adventurer's supplier he sells his loot to.
Since that guy sells potions, he is either an alchemist, or has one on hand who provides his wares.
I would just ask there.
If the supply guy doesn't carry it, he is likely to know where you can get it.
The brothel has to get the stuff from somewhere, after all.
And they are definitely NOT an apothecary.

"Get changed and gather everything you have. We're not coming back. I don't think Shady's Artifacts and Equipment is on the level."
Great poses and expressions here. Maybe that maid was a little too hasty in quitting huh?
