Christopher does not give a shit about money. Nora is probably half flattered, half embarrassed that he think she is worth that much. And probably a little ashamed because she does not think she is worth that much.

I'm currently expecting it to all go 'smoothly'. No one informs him how vastly he's overpaying, they depart, further adventures ensue, lizard boss potentially retires to his own island. ^^;
Naturally, like many readers, I'm hoping it goes more along the lines of. She's 'technically' worth 1/100th of what he's offering and the remaining treasures are used to fund their own fun elsewhere. ;3
Also kinda wondering if there will be a curve ball. Possibly the classic 'but you didn't ask her if she WANTS to go' and sure even if she does it's still proper to ask first. ^^;
Either way absolutely adoring this comic!

Viktria, I just want to say: Every time I see that one of your posts shows up in my notifications, it makes me smile. Your art style is wonderful and fun, your characters are interesting and engaging, and your comics are the best kind of “adult” comics - full of wholesome love, feelings, and moments that warm my heart while simultaneously turning me on. You know how to introduce your characters and let us observe them for long enough that we actually care and celebrate when they finally get together. You’re a marvelously skilled artist, and I always look forward to more from you. Keep it up!
Clearly, that lizard guy didn't expect to see that much gold from Christopher's part, and the fact that the former passed out because of it proves it. Also, I must say that Nora's reaction after seeing all that gold is quite funny, as well as the lizard guy's; amazing page and amazing work by the way. XD
A few things. First it took Chris a few months to gather all of that and it makes me wonder, how long did it actually take him? Did he contemplate that this is the action he wanted to do after a week or a month or two months, then went and got the treasure or was it more of an immediate decision?
Second, I have to wonder if NORA wants to be bought? She is an independent type that has lived all her life in this business. She has said this is her lot in life, she accepts that and hasn't yearned or expects anything more. Does she WANT to be bought and set free? What would she do then? Would Chris want a romantic relationship or would he just set her up in a nice home and come back and visit every now and then.? How would all this work? Would she be free free, or now owned by Chris?
I could honestly see Nora saying, I don't need to be bought or saved. That no one owns her and she is there by choice. If that is the case does she get all the money instead? I hope these questions will be answered.

This page exemplifies two things: The first thing is that you have tremendous skill in drawing metal and jewels and just treasure in general. The second thing is that this page showcases your skill in drawing facial expressions! Just exaggerated enough to be funny but not full on cartoon character levels.
