This...is obviously Satan. Satan has appeared in media for so long that I don't think people even realize how deep his grasp of our collective consciousness is. Anyways, yes Satan, big bad red. Typically seen as a fallen angel, sometimes even a genie. There are lots of parallels to him an Lucifer, some claiming that Lucifer became Satan after his fall, other sources saying bother are sperate entities. The mythology is so old it's hard to really pin it down. I've even heard Satan was not a person but a title? A role to be filled...Hmm but ya, Satan I had to depict him with flaming weapons, to encapsulate his wrathful tendencies. There isn't much else I can say about him that hasn't been said by a million different people in a thousand different ways.
