Inspired by the lava soup used in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Ages.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted anything, but the BF thinks I should post my food creations more often so here it is. Since I’m at work posting this, I don’t have time to put up the recipe; I’ll update this later to have it.
The short of it is: it’s a modified tomato soup with various peppers and the “cooled” lava on top is crackers I made from black beans.

This is basically the recipe I used, but with some modifications: namely I don’t have a gas top and I didn’t feel like using my grill so I roasted my red peppers under the oven broiler. I roasted the habañero peppers too because I figured, “Why not? Already have the damn thing on.” Also, I used kosher salt for this instead of the regular stuff because I’m a huge admirer of Alton Brown; it’s his preferred salt. Normally I wouldn’t even have bothered posting this at all since it’s not an original recipe from me, but I thought it looked to gosh darn cool (as did the BF) so I thought I’d share it.
