"Photo-Op: Happy Grandparents' Day"

Even though I usually post my 'photo-ops' on "Throwback Thursday", I'd decided to present a very special snapshot on a most appropriate occasion: Grandparents' Day (the second Sunday in September)...
This particular snapshot was taken back in the Summer of 1959 (when I was five years and five months old), somewhere in the Bronx (one of the five boroughs of New York City), with the grandparents from my mother's side of the family
From left to right, we have my sister Rhonda (who was about to turn seven one month after said picture was taken), my grandmother Anna and grandfather Benjamin Shell, and yours truly, Jed Martinez.
To those of you out there who have these very special loved ones still around, be sure to wish them a very "Happy Grandparents' Day"!

Grandma and Grandpa Shell originally live right around the corner from our Fairmount Place apartment building in the Bronx, until the late 1960s, when they'd moved to another apartment complex near the Manhattan/Bronx border. We three siblings had fond memories of both places to visit. (BTW, my brother Glenn was just two years old when this picture was taken, and was confined to his stroller at the time.)
