A gussied-up pencil ruff....
As part of the new series of Willa, Miss Billishire, etc pics i wanted to do some real classic sort of pin-up poses. There's a partner pic to this of Miss Billishire playing peek-a-boo - will post that next.
Did tone and ruff colours at FA size (1280) so looks a bit ruff....Real version will be inked then coloured at large size ....might be fun to do fully painted version, no lines...Also wanted to do a Halloween version, duster turned into broom stick she's riding, etc....will have to wait til next year....(And where the lip-stick came from on the reflecting ball? i guess we don't see much of these lady's lips through fur...maybe close-up can see...?)
Recap of story for new viewers:
I have a few graphic novels plotted/hope to do...One is a medieval sex-farce...an x or r-rated comedy that i hoped would be somewhere between The Importance Of Being Earnest, Ranma 1/2, and The Black Adder.
The main characters are - Willa (skunk), a poor girl from the country side who goes to work at the Local Baron's castle; Miss Billishire (skunk) – the Major Domo and ex-mistress of the Lord; Lord Tad (cat/lion/? Mix), the young Lord; Lady Purloin (Cat) – neighboring noble Lord Tad is supposed to wed....

Pepe Le Pew: Quelle est? Ah, le belle femme skunk fatale.
There's a bit of a slight nod to the old Pepe Le Pew catoons in the story, with skunks and cats being mistaken for each other, etc, sort of brought to mining the french maid idea, Willa being a maid, however medieval, not so much french or not....?
Here's a fun page for Pepe quotes:

Well, rough colour anyway...
Lots of other colour works in my gallery...
Three of Willa (although rather old, all done with mouse, not tablet):
This one is a personal fave:

The first drawing of Willa – had no idea who she was or story:

Early attempt at digi painting...mouse doesn't work so well for me:

*looks at all three*
i'm a bit slow at digital colour and haven't been set up to do trad colour for about 6 yrs by choice - forcing myself to learn digi colour....Ruff colour on this was done in about 90 min.s, so i'm getting a bit better....
After returning to trad ink i'm sort of feeling like getting back to doing some old school painting as well....gotta toss some storage out of one side of studio and set-up a new painting desk....Maybe around February...? Digi colour slow, paint fast....
^_^
Really like the purple tone to the whole thing, really adds to its seductive and decadent nature.
Also "Black adder"? hehe i'll have to keep an eye out for that then!
