The sounds were light, the air was fresh, the water crisp clear, and the view was beautiful at the mountain campsite as Sly and company approached it. Walking behind him up the trail was Maneki, Luck, Sakura, Pearl, Pips, and Penny. “Isn’t this a beautiful spot? It’s my favorite camping spot.” said Pearl. “It is nice. A perfect way to celebrate the beginning of Summer.” chimed in Sly looking around. “I can’t wait to go swimming. There’s a cool lake just over there.” said Pearl pointing. “Looks like there’s a lot to do and see around here.” said Luck looking at a brochure and map of the area. “Shouldn’t we unpack and set up now Master?” asked Maneki stepping up next to him. “Yes you’re right Kitty.” said Sly taking a couple of small items from his pocket. He placed them on the ground, and the words in his notebook began to glow as they grew to full size tents, fully set up and ready for use. He checked the inside and all of their camping equipment was inside. “All done.” he said laughingly.

The sun crept across the sky as the friends had fun and enjoyed each other’s company. Sly set up a bbq grill and prepared the food for everyone with Maneki’s help. Pearl came out of the woods in her swimsuit, still dripping wet alongside Sakura as Luck and Pips returned via a hiking trail. “Just in time. Food’s almost ready. Hey has anyone seen Penny?” asked Sly curiously. “No, but her disappearance had better have nothing to do with my empty camera case.” said Pearl, anger flashing in her eyes, seeing the empty case on the table.

“Ooh look at that. A chameleon.” said Penny walking through the woods. “She makes a living doing this? Are you kidding me? How hard could this be?” she thought as she lined the critter up in the sights of the camera. She was just about to snap the photo when a sudden chill ran up her spine, the air seeming suddenly colder. “Break my cam, and I'll break you…” she heard a soft but firm voice from her left. Penny gulped audibly as she realized who the voice belonged to before suddenly turning and bolting further into the woods, leaving the camera on the ground. Pearl stepped up and picked the camera up. “Seems she left before I could tell her that lunch was ready.” said the vixen with a smirk as she secured the camera in its case. She felt something on her leg and looked down to see the chameleon climbing up her body, coming to rest on her right shoulder. “I guess you’ll just have to join us for lunch in her place.” she said smiling as she turned to head back to the camp.

 candykittycat did a freebie stream last week and I managed to snag a pic of Penny. It was a wing it, and as a result Pearl now has a new familiar. The chameleons' name is Fred. XD
