Maneki walked through the house humming to herself. She was carrying a box as she passed Luck. "What are you up to 'Neki?" asked the feline sitting on the couch. "Just doing a little spring cleaning. This box has some of the stuff from the Christmas party a few months ago. Can you believe that we've been here over a year now?" asked Maneki thoughtfully. "Yeah it's a little hard to believe isn't it, considering where we were and what we were being told a little over a year ago." replied Luck. "I want to do something nice for him." said the Calico. "Well we don't have much money between the two of us, but from what I know about Sly he's not one for big expensive things anyway. Maybe there's something around here we can use. What's in the box?" asked Luck. "Just the leftover wrapping paper, tape, scissors, tinsel, and...hmmm..this may work." said Maneki smiling suddenly.

Sly walked into the room a while later. Maneki and Luck were talking when he stepped in and their attention snapped up to look at him as he stepped into the room, causing him to stop for a second. "Is everything alright girls?" he asked confused. "Oh everything is just fine Master." said Maneki as she and Luck stood, their hands behind their backs as they approached the wolfox. "What's going on?" he asked a little apprehensively seeing their behavior. "We were talking today and realized how long we've been here, and how different our lives could have turned out had you not adopted us." said Luck as they began circling the male. "We decided we wanted to show you some appreciation, and knowing you like we do we knew that simplicity was better than complexity. So while Maneki was cleaning we came up with the most simple way to show you our affection." added in Luck as they stopped circling him and showed what they were hiding, two bunches of mistletoe that were leftover in the box. Sly smiled as he saw the items and bowed his head slightly so that they could reach and hold them over his head. "We love you Master. Thanks for everything." they said in unison as they both planted a kiss on his cheek, their tails forming a heart in front of him. "I love you both too girls. You're welcome. I am very glad I adopted you both." he said as he pulled them both into a group hug.
