Doodled this out yesterday while curled up watching netflix with the boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary :B (I wasn't gonna be doing much of anything else, this was as productive as it got yesterday)
Over the weekend I went on a hiking/camping trip with my boyfriend and a group of our friends. 8 miles all told over the 2 days.
I discovered:
Biting flies are the Worst Possible Thing
Newts are awesome
Coyotes are fast
Leeches are both intensely creepy and beautifully graceful in water
Rocks are slippery when wet
I have a few photos up from the trip. A lot of newts, taken with an underwater-capable cam I recently got my hands on x3 Newts are a new discovery for me. I think I love them.

Now if it was 80...
We have salamanders here, no newts :( They pretty much only come in one color pattern and don't really have the tail "fins". I wanna stare at newts! Oh well... I have my little monster Leopard Geekos, at least they have a similar head shape XD
Interesting note, the plains indians believed crossing paths with the coyote was an omen. The coyote held a place in thier mythology similar to Loki in that of the Norse. Some tribes believed it was an ill omen others believed it a good one. I'm curios what the fates hold in store for the Curio.
