My only critique on it is the muscles of his wings. They should extend like pecs to anchor on his chest. As it stands, they look, disconnected. It's a hard bit to do, I know... Other than that, he looks gorgeous!

oh huh.. I can't believe I didn't consider that in the first place. That would make the most sense.. and I spent so much time on those front limbs/chest area already xD But I can see now how I would change it for the wing muscles to lay in the front instead of behind the forelimbs I'll have to see what Kale thinks about that kind of anatomy difference and keep it in mind when I get back to work on it. Thank you! (this may actually mean a big change in how I draw dragons henceforth honestly >_> it seems so obvious, yet caught up in all the other details when I draw dragons, I just never thought about doing it that way xD )

Hehe, it's okay. A lot of artists don't consider it, and it does look somewhat odd in some instances. there's a reason nature doesn't anchor two major sets of limbs on basically the same point, afterall. I'm just glad I oculd be of help!

Hee! I have seen so many ways to depict wings. Some choose to anchor them to the chest, others choose to use the ribs and shoulder blades. Todd Lockwood uses the latter method, as well as many others:

Awesome links and thoughts. I agree i love the way it is turning out and i think often for something like this its finding something that looks nice and streamlined as well as realistic enough since you just cant walk outside and see a dragon..its a lot of what looks and feels best. a lot of this has been looked at so much and many unique takes and designs have surfaced.

As a Dragon lover myself, it looks really great, the structure looks good, Most of my reference books consist of *dons armor and prepares to dodge the many flying objects* DnD books like the Draconomicon and the Eberon series, as well as most Dragon Lance novels, but there are TONS of other sources out there, but I love the way she looks, very gracious and elegant ;) A1 job IMO...
