Animation Test: Deezlberries says hi...

After much messing with the mic I came up with a voice for Deezleberries. And I didn't even use any audio filters.
It's animated using my usual combination of CG puppetry and keyframing and took about three and a half hours. Rendering took about 8 hours and had to be done twice after a mishap with the first pass.
Edit: Some additional information.
I probably spent a good 12 hours modelling on Deezl as I didn't have a solid concept of what I wanted. I did a fair bit of staring at pics of Timon and Daxter too. Kurrel lent an eye to proceedings too, telling me where things were looking odd.
After that I spent about two hours unwrapping the mesh, then a good four hours texturing. I hate texturing and I did some pretty detailed work, which I then had to scrap cause it looked crappy.
Then came rigging, which took three hours or so. I used a standard character studio skeleton, which also allows for the possability of reusing animation between characters at a future date.
After that it was animation time. I puppeteered the facial animation using a game pad in multiple passes, then animated the body by hand.

Regardless, this is awesome! :D
Bleh... I dunno X3
Great anim' ^^
if you don't mind my asking what program did you use?
Anyways, uh, fantastic, you're really standing out here. =D
:o
Very cool animation :) And I feel ya, troubles during renders and haveing to rerender sux ;)
Not enough keyframes and an over reliance on motion curves to cover up the fact. One of the reasons I'm doing these animations is to get a feel for where corners can be cut, peoples gut reactions help.
I like it though, great work, a real... PROFESSIONAL job here ;)
This render loks like it came straight out of a syro the dragon game. I don't know why, though. Maybe it's the proportions, or the texture. I don't know...
AMAZING voicework, festive animation. Great patter. Gilbert & Sullivan would be envious.
Bouncy hair ftw.
I agree with teaselbone that some of the movements are a bit swimmy (though you've already acknowledged that).
Neat!
its very clean and a wonderful introduction. the sound is very clear as well. the camera work and motion s are so realistic and relaxed in them as well giving the feeling of a hello style intro.
The voice is just too awesome!
XD
Goes along with the character.
This is great and you rock
...if only the sound were working!
Such an amazing job you've done here, the voice is terrific, the little poem is unbelievably unique and the CGI? Hot damn, if Dreamworks see this they'll be so damn envious and I'm really not joking here, this is a lot better than the sort of animation they have now in my opinion at least. So all in all, terrific *terrific* job Deezlberries and also, hi to you too! :3
I like you character !! It's very nice !!! X3
Witch software dis you used to make it ?
I thought I'd recognized this character!! :D
Loved this anim dude :)
