After much messing with the mic I came up with a voice for Deezleberries. And I didn't even use any audio filters.
It's animated using my usual combination of CG puppetry and keyframing and took about three and a half hours. Rendering took about 8 hours and had to be done twice after a mishap with the first pass.
Edit: Some additional information.
I probably spent a good 12 hours modelling on Deezl as I didn't have a solid concept of what I wanted. I did a fair bit of staring at pics of Timon and Daxter too. Kurrel lent an eye to proceedings too, telling me where things were looking odd.
After that I spent about two hours unwrapping the mesh, then a good four hours texturing. I hate texturing and I did some pretty detailed work, which I then had to scrap cause it looked crappy.
Then came rigging, which took three hours or so. I used a standard character studio skeleton, which also allows for the possability of reusing animation between characters at a future date.
After that it was animation time. I puppeteered the facial animation using a game pad in multiple passes, then animated the body by hand.

I would imagine it got worse here because MPEG compression seems to mostly skip out on subtle changes, like background going from blue to slightly dimmer blue. But, whatever, as he is shadowed, and stepping across the ground, it's hard not to see him as well-grounded.
Anyways, uh, fantastic, you're really standing out here. =D

I haven't been having the best days ever lately but seeing this really brightened up my weekend!
Such an amazing job you've done here, the voice is terrific, the little poem is unbelievably unique and the CGI? Hot damn, if Dreamworks see this they'll be so damn envious and I'm really not joking here, this is a lot better than the sort of animation they have now in my opinion at least. So all in all, terrific *terrific* job Deezlberries and also, hi to you too! :3
