[inhuman] pg 16, arc 10
every day i'm comickin'
done on watercolour paper because my normal paper stock ran low before i could replace it. watercolour paper reacts strangely to alcohol based markers, so the characters all look a little odd.
entire comic is on my site
or you can read just this arc on FA:

exactly!
yoshi will basicly walk them through the crash course of decontamination/customs before giving them a little information on where they might want to go, a map to the hotel, etc and then turn them loose.
basicly his influence ends at ground level of the landing platform. they can still access help systems all over the city, and most of them will have an AI code that's some varient of yoshi's (the base code for this AI is open source) but might look/act slightly different.

well the landing platforms spawn them whenever a ship lands, and they basicly just ring the ship with them. not all of them get used, though. and the system can be over-ridden if the pilot is used to contura and doesn't need any help.
i think the automated phone systems have the 'nice' down, just not the 'enjoyable.' making your AI cute and adorable goes a long way.

Redefining the term "user friendly".
It's quick on the uptake and noticed Grey is a Genetically modified organism. It look so cute how it went from blank eyed to very friendly. Though I'm not sure how to take this, your information page said that robots were a general busy, though theirs an ever slight difference from a computer and a robot.
Hmmmmm...How do you keep an A.I. from getting bored?

it scans everyone who gets close, and if the genetic code is similar to another but clearly different, it just says 'oh you must be a GMO.' if you're totally unrecognizable it'd go through an entirely different song and dance welcoming you as the first of your species to ever visit contura blah blah blah and submit every. single. piece. of data it can gather on you to a central databank.
yoshi's not actually a robot, though! he's a hologram projection that runs as part of an AI program. he also isn't a self aware AI (not 'truly' a person) because he can't pass a turing test.
and since he's not self aware, he can't get bored. he just doesn't run if there's nothing to do.

Ah, self awareness!
The bitter pill of knowing ones existence and getting board with something.
Well at least they didn't make the same mistake as that other company. Still it's rather amazing how capable they seem. When you think of most unaware A.I.'s, you think bland computer conversations like when people talk to the enterprise computer.
Though I love Hariman's idea of these little A.I.'s going rogue. Though their are so many ways to help people. That's nothing compared to if a young chuians hack them and give them illegal mods.

oh he's just as unaware. if you asked him how he was doing, he'd default to a set script. something like "It is not in my capacity to feel, but your interest is appriciated!" or if you asked him what he thought of the weather, he'd just give you the current forecast.
The AI. I want it. For myself. All of the AIs. All mine. Miiiiine.
I relate to Kyo in this scene from the third panel on. Reminds me of a couple of recent times of meeting someone, and I'd hear them talking but understand very little of them except for "what is your name" and "what are you drawing" until I've listened to them for a few hours. So almost all I'm saying is like "huh?" "What was that again? " "Wait what" "Yeah!" "Uhhh, no?", and "Hey, how's it going *pause to remember name* <insert name here>?"
