Before Hades willingly retired, and because he in Persephone never had children, Hades wanted to appoint one of the hecatoncheires because of their instrumental part in the Titanomachy and Coatlicue's war, unfortunately they were uninterested, so Hades went down their lineage, both the hecatoncheires's children and grandchildren were also un interested, and their great grandchildren had already passed away. However, they're great great grandson, Vatru accepted, making him the second God of heaven, and even though he is very old, his mind is still sharp enough to be the god of Heaven, however his daughter does a lot of of his duties that he can't physically do anymore like travel and delegate.
