As someone who married into the clan, Marlais, as described, *does not* berry out. Not that he needs it to stand out, the man is a fool and fop of the highest order and puts his all into everything, at the cost of feeling even the slightest rejection or social misstep a thousandfold.
He is one of God's blessed fools, and is it any wonder the normally ice-cold Rosalia couldn't help but melt for someone who wore his every thought and emotion on his sleeve? Someone so blitheringly earnest as he, unlike everyone she's known? ...Bless him.
