As any good noble-blooded worb would, Shieldy wants to ensure a bloodline, so of course she'd sire an heir. This is that lad, Warmage!
The lad himself was left largely to his own devices with his father , and grew into young adulthood right on the cusp of the Indulgence; as a result, he was more than ready, as any young will, to buck the traditions of their parents and partied down, allowing himself to swell to truly gargantuan sizes; it wasn't until he could feel himself teetering over, getting lost in the Indulgence's allure that he rebounded and started to reform himself; hasn't stopped him from being an adept magi under his mother's tutelage in war and his father's study of magic!
At least he's more of a free-spirited type who enjoys living it up, putting that magic to good use! Just has to moderate a bit!

It's something I should really do a bigger lore-write on, but yeah; basically the name in-setting for the whole radiative, contagious manafat phenomena the Worbs suffer from, the reason they're huge, magical blimps with seared-in belly sigils. There is also ambiguity over if it has an explicitly-corruptive effect, or if it just enables bad behavior by giving people far more power than they had prior to just, indeed, indulge any whim they please at a thought.
Could be a bit of both. Lightly corruptive, but not so much so that you're gonna end up turning into a complete problem if you're a good person, but it's also a bit of a slippery slope in that direction as, well, more power does mean it's easier to indulge, and with the scales tipped, you could say, it's a bit easy to just INDULGE.
