:P the fact Brand was so willing to use the excuse of "we are eloping" in the undersea arc shows, if nothing else, a casual and brazen boldness to the idea.

it at least was a believable enough outcome to use as an excuse, as Brand likely thought. which im sure was VERY suprising to Saida in the moment.

whatever ending Virmir has in mind is gonna kick ass either way but I long for a story in which the swapped stay stuck that way, and there have been moments between Brand and Saida that have made me think, if they stay swapped in the end (by choice or not), it would be kinda satisfying?

Not hard. But realizing the desired outcome is very hard if they decide they want to throw it into their treasure pile instead.

All depends on how strong his greed is. It's something which tends to drive illogical choices.
