Uh, slow down a moment. When you say 'reverse everything', do you really mean everything it's done or been used to do? Is that really such a good idea?

If literally everything is on the table it would kill Roko, since Roko lacks a body to return too.

Or - hear me out - it would restore his body.

Roko's body was thrown off a cliff, rotted on a beach, and burnt to cinders by Sadia. Considering none of these events are related to the orb, I don't think it's coming back.

Knocking his spirit out of his body was caused by the stone (which is just a fancy way of saying it killed him), but everything that subsequently happened to his body was not a direct result of anything the stone did.

But Roko's just one person, and there might be the greater good to consider here. There was probably a lot done with that stone since its creation, likely most of it not good. And there might be other solutions to Roko's problem.

But saying that would "kill" Roko kind of ignores the fact that strictly speaking in the biological sense, he's already dead.

You could make the utilitarian argument that reversing everything the stone did produces the best result for the greatest number. Roko would just have to find another solution to his problem.

if it's literally everything then justice might as well prevail because you saw just how much was done with it in the first chapters

Last I checked breaking things rarely fixes other things.

Guys, stop and think. That eyestone was probably used to seal the Puppetmancer. Why do you THINK you're getting this dream here right next to his final resting place?

There's also the fact that, we don't know how it would effect Roko. The Eye Stone severed his soul from his body, and sure...breaking the stone and reversing everything might bind his soul back to his body, but last I checked, his body was decayed. So like...would he be stuck as a Zombie, or would he just pass on?

Was it, though? The people who fought the Puppetmancer have all acted a little... strange... ever since they (allegedly) sealed him.

Given that everything we know about the Puppetmancer comes from sources of very questionable reliability, I don't think we should just accept what we supposedly know about him at face value.

Given what we know about the stone, the person in the tree might not even be the real Puppetmancer.

I'm not saying 100% definitely trust whoever's sending the dreams, but... shouldn't just reject it out of hand either.

I think they need to stop and consider why that dream is putting that thought in their head (especially two people having the same dream at the same time is more than a little suspicious) and what all that stone has done that maybe shouldn't be reversed.

On the other hand, maybe it should be though.

Worth a shot anyway. It's not like there's many other options on the table.
