The former head of the Healing Church who, like many priests before her, was transformed into a monster due to a blood transfusion of ancient supernatural creatures. This blood was considered a cure for all diseases, and so it was at first, until a side effect in the form of a beast's curse was revealed. The government, in turn, created a guild of hunters to exterminate the infected citizens and continued to pretend that nothing had happened. Eventually, the entire Yharnam city was overrun by terrifying mutants, at best in the form of werewolves. Vicar Amelia clutched the golden pendant in her hands until the very end, which was supposed to hold back the transformation into a monster, but the beast nature in her blood won out. This happened just before her defeat in a battle with an unknown hunter, the final hit was dealt, however, her body did not remain lying on the floor but disappeared. The next thing Amelia remembered was that she was lying in a clearing in an area unknown to her. Soon she met the demonic lady Carmenta who offered the priestess redemption in exchange for cooperation. And although Amelia has lost some of her strength, she still remains dangerous to her new mistress's enemies thanks to her restored clear thinking.
