Fall 1, Year 2

The knock on the front door had Krobus hide out of habit as it woke Beep up. Normally Magnus or Marlon would wait until a more reasonable hour before bothering them, but maybe it was about Sam's concert tonight, since the deer had been curious about the music? When Beep opened the door, he was face to face with the witch who had attacked him at the wizard's tower.

With sleep still in his eyes, Beep found himself whisked away to some unfamiliar place once more, with the sun beating down and sand whipping into his fur. His panic made it hard to focus on what was being said to him, and suddenly he was once more teleported without his consent. The sand burned his eyes, and the more he wiped at them the worse it became. He had no choice but to cover his eyes with his wings and hope for the best.

Casting magic while still drowsy wasn't something he'd typically do out of safety, as an improperly cast spell could have explosive results. Unfortunately, he had no say in the matter. He dropped the glamour over his peytral to focus on the spell; a magical sight that allowed him to see without his own eyes. Without thinking, the spell took on the familiar appearance of one of his mate's ocular orientation. He had barely begun to learn this spell when he arrived in this realm, so it was like trying to see without glasses when you can't see six inches in front of your face without them. At most he was able to avoid bumping into obstacles and the monsters he could hear that overran this place. At worst, he stumbled into a scorpion field and narrowly avoided being stung only by running the fuck out of there.

With no way to know where he was or how to escape, it took Beep most of the day to find a hidden alcove housing an entrance to a cave, flanked on either side by the same blue flame Lance had at his outpost. Discarding the spell, Beep stumbled inside to come face to face with two more monster hunters.

Camilla had told them to wait for the monster at the entrance to the outpost from the Badlands. They hadn't expected to see the thing collapse and openly start wailing. It was pitiful, and seemed terrified as they convinced it to get into the minecart to get to the outpost proper. Camilla already had an object to allow Beep to connect the outpost to his Nexus when they arrived, and he didn't even let her finish her speech about how she was testing him to see if he "really was intelligent and if he was safe to let live" before he stepped into the warp circle and disappeared.

When Beep arrived back at the town house, Krobus had to help wash the sand from Beep's eyes, ears, and nose. The bathtub almost clogged from the amount of sand removed from his fur and feathers. Without even waiting to dry off, Beep went back to his nest bed and collapsed back into it.

The new “Farmer” is just a Weird Ass Deer. NPCs will respond/react accordingly.
