At least he hit the armored spot.

He decided to go to a Godan (5th dan) spell. Knowing him, just to show off. The Disintegrate spell was obviously a Hachidan (8th dan) spell. Traditionally the way kitsune gain tails under Inari very much resembles a martial art - the higher dan aren't just a matter of age and experience, but contribution to the kami and to humanity.
Virmir's kitsune seem to follow that basic idea, but if Suzocon-sama was ever aligned with Inari, he certainly is not now. He's an honorless dog.
And those guards obviously have no idea what they are dealing with. Baka.

Admiral Shokaku Yamamoto - Suzocon wouldn't last long against me as he has 8 tails compared to my 750 tails. But I know when AND where to use my powers and HOW much power to use, unlike Suzocon who cares NOT to negotiate a deal(s). PoisonFangFur8444 (Account) - I will always try and negotiate a deal(s) that will ONLY benefit ME and NO ONE ELSE!
They DON'T. Not the first part, and likely not the second, either. Suzoi is literally untouchable to anyone here right now. Saving Roko is likely going to have to wait. This is likely Brand and Saida's ONLY chance to escape alive, and I HOPE they take it. Give Suzo a second to realize they're still here and they're DUST.
They can come back for Roko later, he's not in immediate peril, only eventual

To be fair, they did run from Darya when they were outnumbered, and Brand, Saida and Roko aren’t necessarily obligated to “fight evil” they can’t win against.
Not to mention that if Suzocon can “slay” two quetz that easily, Brand wouldn’t fair any better. Short of a convenient miracle that’s unlikely for our heroes’ luck, our trio can’t stand up to Suzocon.
For now, I hope that, while potentially “damaged”, a strong will like Roko’s is still intact against an “untested” mechanism. Roko is different from the ghosts Suzocon is familiar with, so I hope Suzo miscalculated.

More likely Suzocon-sama and Vetra-jou are going to get into a slugfest, and that would be a fantastic time to exit stage left, while the raid bosses are busy fighting each other.
"Let's you and him fight" and "There's always a bigger fish" are legit strategies when you're grossly overmatched. They aren't obligated to fight demigods. Just try to get back in their right bodies. Let the two BBEGS slug it out and root for injuries.

Well, they really CANNOT rescue him right now. don't forget, they have outlived their usefullness to SUzo, so if he sees a chance to atomize them with a stray shot, he's taking it, unless otherwise occupied. And also, having to leave him behind and hope to rescue him later would make for a reason to try to find a way to overcome him. As of right now, the narrative is... in need f some urgency. In my opinion, I mean. Plus, if coming back later is too late, then it is likely going to be too late right now. They have no perceptible means to free Roko, Suzocon wouldn't be the sort to install an obvious off switch, that's like number 32 on the Evil Overlord's tropes to avoid list.
Well,
ArchTeryx knows a lot more about Kitsune kind and other Yokai lore. Maybe you should ask him, if you have any questions regarding Kitsune, William.
