A chapter where Gremmy commits uninvited acts of cuisine. Kestrel goes through a dock office after having turned the owner into a happy seafaring beast. A deep creature stares up at the staircases with delight and amusement, all while talking to his gnome. We cap it off with newcomer Fiona, who is not having a good night.

The day went reasonably well in two ways. Interview at a place that's a good fit went well, and they'll be back with me for what is apparently a marathon 3-4 hour interview in office where they just get it all done at once. Anxiety towards that one, but it just means I'll need to wow them deeply. Also part time job got back to me after a strangely long time(perhaps someone fell through?) so income should be coming on that front. They admit as a new place they cannot pay a good rate, but would like to once more customers come in.

About time the party got a proper cook/chef (I'm fuzzy on the distinction). Take-out and simple sandwiches for every meal aren't financially viable. Just need to make sure he's got ingredients to work with... I wonder if there's anywhere to harvest those in the Dreamscape?

It's a series of vignettes. Bits from other characters that will make more sense as we learn more about them. Fiona we'll get to meet relatively soon. Therion will be later on down the line. Kestrel is a slow burn where her plotline grows as she schemes.
I do worry it's a bit disorienting, as you say. It's hard to introduce lots of characters that will be relevant soon in prose, versus like a webcomic where you can just have a few pages as an aside showing the event.
