Avery, Bryce, and Catherine have successfully moved all the boxes into their new college apartment. Alas, they must address the most pressing concern: The magical staircase that has appeared in their kitchen pantry.
They are going to explore, of course. One does not get your new apartment accosted by interdimensional transveral methods and Not explore the dickens out of them. That would be wrong.

Urban fantasy, side sequel to Perchance to Dream, previous reading is not needed.
Compare Contrast: Persona 3, Homestuck
Tone: Lighthearted, Optimistic. Some swearing and existential themes.
Rating: Teen/Safe/Clean. Romance is about canoodling and being goobers in love.
Yaaaaaay. This felt like actually fun writing, pushing past blockages and writing to make things go whoosh. PtW has been percolating for about 2 years now, and the story is fully figured out. It's from the perspective of what would ideally be a first-person dungeon crawler game ala Etrian Odyssey, but in lieu of being able to make an entire videogame I will settle for writing out the script. If you're a fan of games like Persona, Deltarune/Undertale, Homestuck, that sort of slowly sprawling fantasy that keeps on going, you'll like this one.
The plot goes places! Exploration leads to understanding, understanding leads to desire, and before you know it everything's gone all wiggly. Expect a level of serial escalation as we go along.
This was good mental health wise, and feels a lot better than the sump of "where is life even doing?". We can do this. We're making it happen.
Definitely feel free to comment with your thoughts, ideas, questions and the like. Comments are delicious and nutritious.
