I'm honestly not sure what to think about this except "I'm beginning to root for injuries."
We already know Vetra-jou is a thoroughly despicable creature in her present form. Not sure if this changes much of anything other than, "This is why she keeps having Surya-daymo over, to keep trying to push him into catching Aysugami."
None of them exactly seem on board with the whole "Vetra-jou as the new Amaterasu" thing.
I'm not sure any of the lot are reliable narrators. Who you believe? A terrified hatchling? The purple snake-in-the-grass that thinks she can depose Amaterasu Ōmikami herself? Or the cunning old kitsune with plenty of his own secrets to hide - and who may have his own reasons to want Vetra-jou out of the picture?

There are other clues Vetra didn't use to be like this, and something turned her and all the other demigods corrupt and evil. There is NOTHING well intentioned about her now, and she wasn't an extremist before, it seems. Darya was no better and neither was Ayal when they encountered them. Ayal, at least, was once a force of good.
There's something weird going on in this world and they've barely touched on it. Maybe they'll have to do to Vetra what they did with Ayal? Strike her down and replace her with Saida?

Interesting. Sounds like corruption and a thirst for power has seeped into the Queen of the Quetz. I hope that that can eventually be rectified. Also, I love how this kitsune seems to actually be helpful instead of hurtful. I hope that they won't betray and/or be evil to our MCs in the future.
