I'd spent 25 years of my career working in animated cartoons. During that time I did storyboards, layout, animation, timing, writing, design, color, and just about every other step of production.

Yes, the storyboards had to done with flash in mind. Also with the budget in mind.

Yeah, I can see that by the fairly static poses of the characters. Part of what I find so fascinating about it all really!

I didn't know you worked on Hi Hi Puffy!
I should have paid better attention to the credits.
Then again, I have been a HUGE Puffy fan-atic, starting years before the cartoon. I have every album they have released, and I mean every Japanese release. I even have the Japanese DVD box sets of the cartoon.

You may not remember me, but I'm that cartoon fan who visited y'all a few times when you lived in DeLand. It is nice to see you and your better half posting artwork.

Even though the show was not even remotely anime-ish in style, I thought it was originally shown in Japan and then dubbed for the US.

Nice sequence! At the time, were you working for Renegade or Cartoon Network? As I recall, John "Topfox" Cawley was Line Producer on that series when he worked at CN.

I was on staff at Renegade Animation. I liked working on the show. The main drawback was that the schedules were short so we had to work fast. On the plus side, Renegade had it's own animation department, so everything was done inhouse.

I remember John telling me that it was one of the few CN shows that was produced entirely on this side of the Pacific.
