i dont get the mlp fad will you explain it

Simple, unlike the previous generations of MLP.

1: Well written

2: Likable Characters

3: Not being talked down to.

4: Excellent facial expressions, plus no longer long legged hippos in appearance.

5: No annoying little human girls involved in the series.

6: Animation is alot better.


My suggestion is watch a few shows on Youtube.

Was wondering when you were going to do this.

0: No longer characterized by cloying cuteness, much more emphasis on humor!

7. Characters still act like themselves instead of becoming generic cute ponies when they're not the main focus.

8. Single story per episode allows for more depth and better pacing than if they did two or three shorts per half-hour timeslot.

9. Plenty of cultural references.

The story line and animation will keep kids int rested but the plot is not too watered down so adults like it. The characters ages (Young adult for the primaries it seems) the problems they face, the solutions and what not can be related to by multiple ages and genders without having to dumb it down. They also have a slew of background characters each with developing roles (Take Derpy for example) that they (hopefully will though I hear Faust is stepping back) decide to keep the show running they will never run out of material.

Think about it. Everyone assumes Derpy is a tard or slow but plot lines being what they are she could prove everyone wrong. Good lesson of judging books by covers and respecting the challenged. Maybe she is Autistic.. you damn near have to be if you are a mail carrier to remember all the numbers, addresses and routes

Big Macintosh is quiet and keeps to himself. Maybe he is really deep and a good listener just shy. Maybe he has a good reason for not saying much. The viewers want to know

They covered the race thing with Zecora though I would love to see another episode there.

The show would win as no cartoon (short of Gargoyles maybe) has won before when it comes to voice overs if they worked with the BBC, did a Dr. Whoof episode and brought David Tennant in for the voice acting. You would have bronies and who fans jizzing themselves over that. Given the interviews and outtakes I have seen of David I bet he would jump at the chance to do it for the fun of it.

Just about any background character can be exploited for a good plot. This show could go on without repeating itself for quite a few seasons and not get boring if they really wanted to put some effort into it.

Wonderful underlying morals to the stories.

'If you're useless at everything, go into management'

'Shut up, you useless plebians, and let the designer get the real work done'

And so on.

10. Mach-capable weaponized Pegasi.

11. At any point, characters can go batshit insane.

Wife told me I reminded her of Big Macintosh. Then I sat and watched the shows.. The addiction set in for all the reasons you mention. She... is defiantly Fluttershy. I cant say why I like the show other than what you listed but yeah. its just... a fun break from life.

THere is alot to this show that peeps dont understand. I find it very funny, i show it to alot of peeps i know, got alot of them watching it. THe in show musics ( bgm ) are rather awesome and superbly done, while the musical numbers are catchy an mesh perfectly with the episodes. If you check out any episode, it has to be "Bridle Gossip" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmS55Npp_fA, it is the most random episode, and quite the funniest. It was the i was introduced with. I have been hooked ever since!

Thats the end of the first season. I do not know when season 2 starts but they already have the next 26 episodes for it done.

When this starts to happen, perhaps it's time to step back from the ponies a little bit.

Although I only seen two episodes with her in it " Pinky Sheen" and The Pegesi championship ep where she is briefly seen chatting with another Pegesi before getting ready for the competition. And she seems prety normal for the exception of her eyes. Who's to say she wasn't just born with her eyes messed up and she was otherwise fine. She just needs corrective surgery ;3

It'll be a doozy if you guys have roleplay night.
