(once again, been busy, so this is an upload bulk from my DA)
Hee-Ho, howdy everyone. Today I bring you an illustration of Thomza, "Shark", and Freya-- So want to hear a fun fact? "Shark" has been around for... QUIIIITE the long time, I just never was able to illustrate her. Same goes with a lot of creatures in Skin to Scales- but anyways, I mostly drew this to simply redesign Thomza's armor a bit for Cycle 10, being way sleeker of course, and even showing off his muscle a bit.
The title of course does mean quite a bit in terms of the story too. After the "Council of Chaos", and a few other arcs, Thomza began to write a lot more. Mostly talking about the universe that he lives in and wishes to document it. Being scared that the stories may be forgotten in some capacity. Trying to recall certain events, talking about people, etc- That he doesn't really take his role of being the "Pillar of Order", too seriously, and believes everyone else can carve their own destiny. That he will gladly save the day if need-be, and will continue to try to be a shining example of heroism, but he also doesn't want to intervene unless it's absolutely necessary. So, he usually travels the Realm of Materia when he's not working at the bakery. Talking to others, doing actual research outside the walls of Bayshore with his group of friends and allies, that sort of thing.
Besides, it's not like he can trust Proto fully with his own documents and "opinions" on things. So! If you ever wanted a lore reason for Thomza making all these documents on cults, monsters, creatures, etc? Now you have it!
Until next time folks! Thanks for reading!
(I also once again decided to make the border of the art a different color- Just another experiment!)
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.
Other Disclaimer: You are allowed to share my artwork as long as I am credited, but do not upload it anywhere else, edit it and or mark it as your own if that wasn't common sense.
Fun Fact: "Shark" was originally going to be pink and yellow, but I thought the colors didn't really mesh all that well. So, I gave her a more ocean and or "galaxy/stars" kinda shine- something to really surf the waves of air and space- Skin to Scales has a lot of monsters and creatures, even the sharks are meant to be oddities-

This is just so flipping cool to see! I don't think I've seen "Shark" before, but now I'm just in love with her "Galaxy" themed color palette so flipping much! You're such an exceptionally talented artist and I'm super hecking excited to seeing so much more of your wonderful works in the future! Keep doing great!
