Rafael Mendez was probably the best trumpet player ever...or so I think...of course I don't need to add that he is no longer with us and it leaves us with the question who is the best trumpet player today? If you ask me I say it's Arturo Sandoval http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TChocbG_TTI The cuban guy with the tie =)) The old man with the up bent trumpet is Dizzy Gillespie...in time of world war two possobly the best trumpet player ever but when this vid was made I think he lost sence in his cheek muscles allready and yet see that awesome finger action of his...he passed away allready too may he rest in peace and Arturo is allready and old man today but still plays amazingly haha. I've got a reccord of Dizzy in his good days...awesome jazz ei XD
