"I remember the day you stepped into my halls; an audience called by Tia for me to "address" a certain issue. The clack of your claws against the slate floors and dressed in the bones of your enemies with a fetid cleaver by your side. How you swore fealty to me almost instantly even after I destroyed most of the cult you were a part of that was once spread in the underbelly of the City of Bayshore. Somehow, even through worship and sacrifices in your name to become one of their strongest warriors you did not turn into a vicious Ogre. You became a devout, one who became a prophet and saw me as some sort of... Terrible and great slayer of so many. An apex predator to be feared and worshipped as you infought with your own. Admittedly I find this insulting, as I try to find any peaceful solution I can to certain problems, but... Sometimes it's just not the world we live in, and my hand must be forced into combat.
The days of the old Cult of the Gourmand have been burned out in the Town of Bayshore as they fly banners of our own. For they wish to crusade against the Ogres who live elsewhere, believing them to be false prophets. If they desire to hunt down the terrible evils that plague our realm? So be it, but I will not have them harming anyone who is innocent, nor will I have them round up "sacrifices" for them to empower themselves. For if the cult wishes to change over to a new leaf they must be held to the same standards as the Warrior of the Pillars and follow the same laws and regulations. I will allow them to build their cathedrals, I will even allow their new leader to become part of the Chosen, but I will keep a close eye on them. They have been at least hunting down many of the dangerous "monsters" around Bayhsore and fashioning their bones and hide into equipment for themselves.
Tia suggests I partake in many of their rituals and only I can help influence them on a brand-new path. Sometimes, I feel like I really need a vacation from all this "hero" and "god" business..." ~Thomza Materia

Howdy everyone! I finally got home and can do my best to start drawing and illustrating my setting once again! Here we have a new member of the chosen, or well- she's been mostly "hinted" at here and there of existing in a few logs, but here she is! Ailith!
Thomza kind of explains it best, and there's other written logs about the Cult of the Gourmand and who the Chosen are so...
Yeah- Until next time! Thank you again all for reading!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.
