Happy New Year do we all wish from Banana Stable!
To be honest, 2023... was not a good year for me.
Behind the scenes, I have been dealing with a lot of anxiety attacks this year.
My workplace is bearable but still sucks but it's not the whole reason why.
I've just felt so tired and lacking motivation for anything at all lately.
This in turn has led me into getting some not-so-healthy habits.
I've been gaining some weight. 15 kg might not sound so much, but considering have I already have body issues I'm self-conscious about, it's not helping.
It also makes me feel worse that I'm instead choosing the lazy alternative of ordering something instead of cooking something myself.
It also doesn't help that next year is gonna be rough for me, economically.
My mortgage is up for renewal and due to the inflation rise in my country, the interest rate will be about triple compared to what I'm currently paying.
That means that my monthly loan cost will increase by about 250€.
My father and I have been checking up on how we can decrease the cost and we have found a solution that'll at least alleviate most of the cost.
It'll still increase my monthly cost to about 100€ but it's better than without our solution.
2024 will be the year of mental health for me.
I'll try to be healthier, sleep better, and eat better.
I have recently got myself a second-hand bike (my previous one got stolen 3 years ago) and I hope it'll reignite the motivation for me to spend some time outside.
And then there's the things online.
Remember how excited I was about my Mythos series?
Currently, there are two pieces uploaded. One for Winter and one for Spring.
So what happened with the other two?
Well, the artist who was supposed to do the Summer picture basically disappeared from the internet.
From a source have we heard that they've not had the best year either and been dealing with a lot of things outside of their control.
However, they've never been the best to communicate thus we don't know whether when or if they'll ever return.
And thus am I currently looking for an artist to take over the Summer piece.
Good news, however, is that the Autumn piece is done and I'm planning to upload it whenever the Summer piece is uploaded as well.
After these four pieces, there are two other works of art related to this that are in work as well.
There's also a second mini-series that I'm also planning to make next year with the name Flashbacks.
This will be a series of pictures with the background of some of the characters before Banana Stable was created.

Oh Wasen.... Hope things won't be too terrible this year to come. But I feel ya on it with bad economic year as well the mental health. If you ever need to talk, to vent, I'm always willing to listen and DMS are always open . Take care of yourself the best you can 💜
