We haven't seen any details of how Baxxid reproduce yet. (Hope we do, I'm sure we're all curious) I would suspect that, since humans and baxxid are so different, they would be genetically incompatible, even assuming that they might be able to have some sort of coitus.
If I may just use this as a teaching aid as I address the aspiring fantasy writers out there:
Dear budding creatives! You would do well to remember that all of your worldbuilding efforts, all the artificial histories and biographies, charts of trade routes and records of great wars, lists of important playwrights and composers in your make-belief cultures, all the anatomical diagrams explaining how your original species look and work, all the regional cuisine guides with meticulously figured out taste and seasonality approximations, all your imaginative cataloguing of pantheons, spirit worlds and cosmogenies...
-- ALL of that work is ultimately in the service of moments like this. Keep that in mind, and your works will always have the heart, the soul and the wit necessary to stand out, and stand the test of time!

Seeeriously! Lord Of The Rings had some cool lore and worldbuilding, but it's such a successful and long-lasting story because while there's lots of epic world-changing events, Tolkien made sure to focus on how those events affected the characters personally, and told the story through their eyes, experiencing them.
Hear, hear!
Epics of divine vengeance and blackest treachery can be fun enough, but nothing beats witnessing a couple of creatures coming from the weirdest backgrounds imaginable awkwardly trying to make a simple connection.
Sometimes those two different creatures are a disembodied mind and a disemminded body.
...that said, as I'm a worldbuilding dweeb, myself, I can derive shameful amounts of enjoyment from studying various setting-specific ephemera and religious structures and cool faction conflicts and maps and things.

Aaand she's into the nickname zone at their first proper meeting. Sweet.
The way you normalize interspecies relations as things to be cherished, things that strengthen rather than divide a society, is just absolutely wonderful - particularly when viewed against the backdrop of our own tortured fractured world. Yannit and the seamstresses, Vizlet and the patriach, Elim and Kass (but of course!), and now these two... there is so much to rejoice in here!

Hi, fellow OOPs lovers! I'm here to remind you once again that there's a place called "Top Web Comics" https://www.topwebcomics.com/?home=3 that compiles comics from various places. There's a bunch of cool stuff there. They have monthly votes, so you can support OOPs there. You can vote once a day per device, so your PC, laptop, tablet, phone, etc.
I've noticed that you can sometimes even get in extra votes from different IP addresses, or if you're disconnected from your IP and open up again later.
OOPs closed out last month at 75th place and about 720 votes. It's currently at 16 votes and 56th place. The highest it's reached is 36th place, and the top vote getters seem to end up with something close to 20,000 votes.
Vote early, vote often! Help OOPs get noticed!

I would say love is a long road because I saw the GTA VI trailer, but these two just made it a short one. They're already flirtin' with each other like a couple o' flirtatious flirters. I just hope Kalgkur doesn't get too distracted or stick around too long. Other parts of the market need gaurding.
I don't know if I said this before, but it's kind of neat to see all these side characters go through their own little story alongside Kassen's main struggle with his transformation tribulation. Even Lopin, having had Beizel prompt him with that question of his position in the Ivenmoth towers. All interesting stuff and to see how they may end or collide with one another.
