Ah yes, the second version of the mining suit meant for both Fruit Kobolds, Scalebolds and even Brutebolds. Unlike the last mining suit, the armor set is more than operational and without many glaring flaws. Optical aiming sensors so they may never miss, armor painted to blend into their surroundings, and even miniature boosters on the bottom of their feet meant for dashing. However, it was supposedly, massively uncomfortable to wear and it could not reach certain depths of the realm. An earlier version of this suit also made the user sink like a brick in water, thankfully, that's been patched out. Er... Well for the most part!" ~Doctor Love
Hee-Ho, howdy everyone! Once again, I bring you a data-log in a brand-new resolution and format, as well as using much "darker" and "sinister" looking colors to set the tone of the image and how dangerous the depths of the Realm of Materia truly is. Funnily enough, I actually decided to redesign the helmet of this suit multiple times. The original idea was a an almost dragon looking helmet with a single glass visor... Then, I kind of went for a diving suit or an astro helmet, until I finally ended up on what we have here. A helmet with multiple "fake" looking eyes which are actually larger optical cameras to help the user aim their weapon properly. I still wanted to go for that "grim" tone and "retro space" science fiction similar to the last suit, but still making it slim and bulky at the same time. Something that really gets across that it will manage to protect the user under many circumstances.
Something that doctor love didn't mention though is that the booster packs were instead changed to the back and the sides of the suit. Mostly for better stability in different environments and the "dash" function was much harder to learn when it was placed directly under them. Want to see the original suit? You can find that illustration right here as I can't seem to find it on my FA for some reason: https://www.deviantart.com/twistedh.....-MKI-963877586
Other than that, lads? Have a nice day! Thanks for reading!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.
