"Pride, that's how I feel when gazing upon the streets, the fortresses and even monuments you have built. I never expected my project that was to create artificial life, beings built for war to ever get so far, let alone become this civilized. Monsters created in a laboratory only to be tossed aside and to form their own civilization under their newfound gods. I almost feel a dreadful sense of irony flushing over me as I write this very log. I remember a younger me, one still as strong and beautiful, gazing into one of our creation's eyes... I saw destruction, hatred, and a deep instinct to slay those who stood before them. Now I guess as I grow older, I see... Love. The same fire in their eyes is now the care they show for their fellow kin, their gods, and the homes they now protect. Hm, maybe I'm rambling..." ~Asha Star
Hee-Ho, howdy everyone! Told you I would start working on it! Fruit Kobolds have been around for a very long time and most mentions of their creation have been mentioned in other data logs, however... I wanted this one to be way blunter with it, that yes, all the Fruit Kobolds you see, (Alpha, Beta (Copper/Aquatic/Etc.) and the Clonebolds.) were all created by Yggdrasil. Now I feel like some of this information is already sprinkled out here and there from the various illustrations I've already done which is: "Chosen by Gods" and "A Crusade Against the Stars" (which is somewhere on my FA a bit hard to organize on this website--) so you may get a proper understanding of what happened afterwards. However, Asha speaks as if this was in the past for her, and which it technically is...
She is one of many who created the "Alpha" project an extremely long time ago and is one of the only surviving members of the events. She created the Alphas, she helped form the "Beta" variants, and she also created the "Clonebold" project which was its latest form. She does not feel any form of shame from it, but instead? Pride like any dragon would and do not worry she's no mad scientist or anything like that. This log is pretty much lamenting on her previous and foolish self... and oh right! Asha did get a slight redesign so woohoo! Also, I formatted this data-log a liiiiiiiiiiittle differently from the others... Just wanted to experiment around of course!
...I could get into more detail, but there are more data-logs to come! Thank you all for reading, and I want to continue to take that "less is more" approach! Seeya all around!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.
