Page 11 of a DISCONTINUED comic.
This is the final page of "Affairs of Dragons". I had written myself into a corner here because based on my story-planning this comic was going to get DARK. And FAST. So much so that I was no longer comfortable with the material and had to discontinue it immiediately. Here's the run down:
============================
1. She would sleep with the red rabbit, thinking that she was going to be eaten soon and not wanting to die a virgin. It would turn out to be the dragon in disguise. Given that his magical mask was already established it would make sense, but it was also unbelievably cruel.
2. Rather than eating her, they would be "bonded", in which every time the dragon was injured it would shave a year off of her life. One such incident included the dragon getting slashed with a sword and her hair EXPLODING with length, signifying the passage of 1 year's time for her body. This would give the dragon the image of immortality to his enemies, all the while draining the life out of his little rabbit slave. Also unbelievably cruel.
3. When she realized what was happening, she would fuss and fight him back, knowing that he would not injure his lifeline and ticket to temporary immortality. So, the hostility would be open and she would loudly resent her captivity at every turn, knowing she was immune from his threats of violence.
4. The future of the story devolved into the dragon getting injured, a year getting shaved off her life, and then rinse and repeat. Sure the enemy concepts were exciting and different, but really the story wasn't GOING anywhere.
5. The comic could only concievably have two endings. One where she is drained of all her years and dies, the cycle continuing. Or, that she would kill herself while the dragon was fighting in a really difficult battle. With his lifeline gone, the dragon would die as well. Stalemate ending. Both of which were equally angsty and negative.
========================
I sensed the unbelievable negativity that this comic was rapidly spawning, and I was not prepared to devote time, effort, and resources into such a dark and angsty concept. So, the comic ended and I took it down from the website it originated from. Its been sitting on my computer for some time, un-used, and the original art has since been thrown away. So... its dead in several ways.
I'm rather ashamed of this monster, to be honest. Its not my usual medium, story style, or anything. I set out to make a monster, but it got too mean for me to handle. Call me Mr. Nice Guy, meh... hope you enjoyed peeking at one of my failed concepts! Comment if you have a moment! :)

Honestly? I like the idea. Sure, it's dark (and the dragon's an egocentric, sadistic bastard, not to put too fine a point on it), but I would have really liked to see the progression. I would have liked to see it as a character-driven story, really.
And that's my eighty-three dollars (amounts adjusted for inflation). If it's not too random for ya.
