If the clutch in the car at the beginning of the act doesn't sound familiar, remember this takes place in 1982.
Which brings me to something that occurred to me recently. If they tried to make The Puppy's New Adventures today, chances are Petey and Dolly would be microchipped, their images would be posted on every social media in existence, and Tommy would find them and the whole series would be over in ten minutes.
What other fondly remembered TV shows, movies, or cartoons can you think of from your childhood that just wouldn't work if they were made today? (And how many of you still drive a car with a clutch?)
