"Ah! Look at the little creatures, hopping, giggling, and full of joy and wonder! These little seed... things, are known as Seedlings, the "larval" state of a Mandrake. Usually, they're a pretty rare sight considering the Queen is the one who viciously guards them. It'll usually take around four to three weeks for these infantile creatures to become an "adult", mandrake and the Queen will cultivate them by giving them "Eda Sap" as it's the only thing they can consume before "hatching" into one of the various species of Mandrake. It usually doesn't matter who the original mother and father was of the seedling, but merely how much sap or type of sap the seedling intakes. I almost wonder if the Tree of Eda has an almost parasitic relationship with the Mandrakes as without the sap, the seedlings do not grow into adulthood or evolve on their own, and most Mandrake colonies that do not have their own tree will wither away. Maybe I'm just looking too deep into things, but it's a theory, but how did this happen in the first place? What came first, was it the Tree of Eda or the Mandrakes? Was it the over-reliance on the sap that caused this? I don't think I'll ever truly know..." ~Commander Proto

Hee-Ho, howdy everyone! Check it out! More Cycle 9 lore and more information on the Mandrakes! I think my main goal right now is to make them more and more unique and have a little bit of interest with them... Usually this is the segment where I answer and elaborate further on the lore that was already said, but I think... I think I'm going to take a different approach, leave things vaguer and fuller of interest and intrigue! So!
