Jessi-Mae, or Jem as her close friends call her, spent most of her life in space aboard starships traveling between colony worlds and newly discovered planets, meeting and interacting with the alien races known to the federation. And though she was timid and shy at first she became quite the tomboy with a temper as short as her tail and not afraid to stare down a full grown Rakshani if they slighted her. Though before her attitude got out of hand she was sent to Star Fleet academy to learn some discipline, self control, and more importantly learn to actually be able to defend herself in case she actually does and up in a fight. Despite being quite the handful for academy instructors she did impress them with her quick progress and ability to learn. This allowed her to branch off a bit in her studies, mainly to ship and weapons systems though no expert on these she knows just enough to be able to fill in some positions in engineering with proper instructions. She is currently finishing her final year with on-the-job experience on the Osiris, a ship she's very familiar with since she basically grew up there with her dads.

She does not know her real parents as she was just left on the doorstep of her adopted family, though she is a rare toybob morph of which only a few thousand are registered on Terra it did not make finding her biological parents any easier and they remain unfound untill this day. That said, Jessi believes she could hardly have been left in a better place to be raised by her two dads, Troy Kingsmayne the captain of the Osiris, a lion, and Takoda Cuguara, a moountain lion, chief of security of the Osiris and her aunt Sarai Kingsmayne. Between them she got a balanced upbringing and experience and see what the known universe has to offer, though untintentionally they nudged her into a career in Star Fleet this way not that Jessi minds aside from shipboard life during voyages gettign a bit dull at times, but she hopes to be a captain of her own ship one day because if Caitians can do it so can she.
