Ok so despite the title I don't have an actual release date set yet but I do have some updates about them.

First off I do plan to release them this year, since the year of the horse seems fitting for it.

Second point : I have decided to decouple them from the Chakat universe and have them be their own thing. This means I have to do some rewrites and drop a few storylines such as Yohan and the foxtaurs, and sadly I have to scrap or rewrite Robin's story since I can no longer use Voxxa or Chakona as destinations. (I will keep the original timeline in the chakat universe aside in case people want to use them in that setting unofficially)
I don't think I can compete with Chakats or other original open species, but I guess I will see how it goes when the time comes.

Now some people may have been wondering why I am taking so long to release them as an open species, so I'll just say it's taking me a while to iron out some things, and occasional rewrites of things that didn't seem to fit or work out. I have been working on Dravers for a little over five years now on and off alongside other projects such as my tabletop RPG world building based on decades old notes for the original video game idea which obviously was never going to happen, but hey I was only 10 years old when I started writing down ideas for that. But I digress...
Part of the delays are because I'm gettign increasingly more nervous to closer I come to finalizing the design of my Dravers, and I've already had at least one person on Deviant Art try to steal them from me. That paired with some Belgian furries calling me a fascist among things because they can't read disclaimers about a fictional alternate timeline... so that has been demotivational headache as well that almost made me want to just quit. (I still have no idea how they got my email adresses in the first place, which is another concern.)

As for a progress update.
I am halfway through rewriting the timeline and an attempt to rewrite Robin's story and considering what to replace Voxxans and Chakona with. (I figure I can still use Catians at least since those aren't unique to the Chakat universe) I have also tried some rewrites on the interview with Robin on Dravers trying to write my chakat self out of it as the interviewer. Also still working on the jousting sport to flesh out the rules and make it somewhat believable as an actual sport at least. And another small side project is coming up with slang and swear words Dravers might use, so I may post a journal for suggestions at some point for that and the jousting rules.

Also on my to-do list is getting some templates made so people can start designing their own Draver characters. I already have a male one made by Foxenawolf, so just need a female one. I am also saving up to commission a picture of a pair of Dravers from Kacey, hopefully by the time of their official release to mark the occasion.

So yeah, that's the progress and situation update right now.
