Not part of my backlog but something fresh off the press for a change. ;p
A scene from Koraal and Kifeda's wedding after their escape from the slavers.
Since neither of them is local or has any own rituals they were given a traditional wedding of the local tribe which had given them shelter for a while. As not much from the old world survived some tribes formed their own religeon and customs, often based around technology or nature or as in this case a combination of both. The bride and groom both wear straw clothing and are tied at the wrist with a rope, representing a connection to nature, threading the rope through the steering wheel, which represents a relic from the past and future but also the cycle of life, means they are now both connected through the cycle.
Ofcourse as with many of these new traditions and religeons the exact origins are unknown despite efforts of historians and some have made a career out of studying the various nex customs and cultures that tribes develop. Some think that it may just be a new interpretaion of old religeons, or maybe someone once heard something about some "circle of life" thing and "tying the knot" somewhere...
