Drega lost both her parents at a young age and was raised by her aunt and uncle, however she never managed to adapt and kept getting into trouble, almost as often as causing it herself. Despite their best efforts they could not set Drega straight as she would only push back harder every time untill one evening she and her uncle got violent and she fled the home injured and bleeding. She was able to hide for a while to recover from her injuries with the help of some of her friends who then helped her to get off planet on a ship headed to Chakona, but she boarded a different one at the first stop to throw anyone looking for her off her trail as this ship was heading to Earth via a long detour although she would jump ship twice more before boarding that same freighter again, taking almost an entire year before finally arriving on Earth.

Durign that time she had mellowed down a little simply because she had to keep her head down and not get in too much trouble just so she would not lose her ride. That's not to say there wasn't any friction as she did end up in the brig once or twice to cool down. Once on Earth it didn't take long for her to get back into her old ways as she would pickpocket, threaten and even rob people to get by, though she did manage to evade the authorities for a long time she was eventually caught and she feared getting sent back to Raksha, but to her surprise she was let go with a stern warning...which she did not heed and instead left for another city every time always falling in with another bad crowd. It seems she is going to be stuck in this downward spiral for the rest of her life if she doesn't end up in prison first.
