Tartanic & The Craic Show

Kass is a musician so of course I wanted him to show up for other musicians.
Tartanic is a bagpipe and drum group that have been playing the Arizona Renaissance Festival for at least 15 years that are a huge crowd favorite. Honestly their performances and the audience get that rock show energy that feed back on each other to get everyone hyped and playing their best.
The Craic Show is another high energy act with a mix of bagpipes, drums, and other instruments that is newer to ARF. I haven’t actually been the past few years so they were new to me but they were also a fun show.
One thing that was certainly common between meeting the to bands was they took an interest in my concertina and were amazed that I could play it in suit. Well mostly in suit as I had secret zippers along the ends of the wings that I could use to get my hands out.
But yeah there was genuine interest when they and other attendees would hear me actually playing. I have a couple songs I’ve transcribed and taught myself but I was also very much out of practice. Mainly it was LOZ tunes Lon Lon Ranch and The Song of Storms (I kept only 75% remembering the main LOZ theme) as well as non-LOZ tunes Drunken Sailor and the Jurassic Park theme.
