Commissioned children's book for Christian Wasserman, who is super nice to work with <3 My first time painting beavers or hedgehogs! A young hedgehog girl gets washed away down the river in a storm, separated from her family only to be discovered downriver by some beavers. However, not all of them want to help </3

Heh, Kidogo doesn't know either. ;) This small, bitter sweet, kinda pathetic novella will soon be available as a print and e-book version. But before that, one or two rounds of editing need to be done, some graphics have to be brought into the book as well, not to forget the cover itself. A few more weeks will have to pass.
I'm afraid this will not be available before Christmas. After weeks of stress and revising the content over and over again, today I finally managed it finalize the cover, getting ready all of the required documents to hand it over to the "books on demand" platform. So far so good. However, their editors also need at least 5 to 7 days before the book is processed and forwarded to various online shops; the eBook version even takes a bit longer. :/
Finally, the question remains if it would be some a problem if the li'l book will be available in German only and likely never be available in other languages. Yeah, I blame a lack of skill to do so, but it would be hard to translate though, due to the hundreds of puns, alliterations and jokes. :/
But feel free to give it a try ^^
PS: Unfortunately, the illustrations inside don't come even close to Jocarra's excellence in execution. *lol*

Amazing fur, love the wet and dry variations, the beavers and hedgehog look fantastic. Just the tree stump looking weird with the angle of the ground compared to the angle of the stump, but that's just me being nitpicky and jealous at your great art.
Awesome work, it's just so... https://www.dictionary.com/e/wp-con.....fs_kiss_2.jpeg

With a little delay I also want to leave a comment here; not to tell you once again what I told you in previous emails before, but to let others know what a pleasure it is to work with you.
If you ask an artist to put a vage thought into a single drawing, they often have to understand the nebulous forms and colors, sometimes the client's abstract feelings to transform them into something precise. While the client might be intoxicated by his own genius for having made-up such an insanely worked out scenario with "three beavers and a hedgehog on a tree stump", the artist has the difficult task of transmitting this very thought line by line, grass by grass onto the paper, developing facial expressions and gestures. And when it comes out like this, it's just great. Once I saw the first WIP with tree stump and the hedgehog I knew it was going to be great. No doubt about that. And I can't find a thing of the drawing I would change. Despite the feral beavers, they have recognizable facial expressions and gestures - this scenary tells the whole story. And the pitiful hedgehog kills me anyway. Your excellence of arts is beyond any doubt, even with beavers and hedgehogs, you've never drawn before.
It was a pleasure to watch the progress, although I would have loved to watch you drawing for an hour or two to understand how a brown monochrome blob ended up becoming a beaver. And that brings me right to the way you're doing commissions: There is a structured way of working right from the beginning. You respond to emails promptly, you give feedback or make suggestions, make costs transparent and, last but not least, share regular updates on progress. That is absolutely exemplary.
Simply: Thank you!
