Hello art (G)
Hello, my dears. I know what you're thinking - why does this spotted critter need another platform to post? Well, although I'm way more of a writer, it has been quite common lately that I use pencil and watercolors. Not to write but to draw. At that point it makes sense to exhibit the results into some kind of gallery.
However, you shouldn't expect any excellence in arts here. It must have been ages - I was still a little furball who was taught the most important things of life in school - that I held a pen or a brush in my paw. And when adult life began, there was no time for children's things, including pencil and brush.
Until recently.
The other day I stumbled upon a post that called for a #dtiys challenge - suddenly, on an inexplicable whim, I had the strange desire to take part. Out of nowhere. So I went to a shop, got pencil and paper and a paint box like those used by elementary school students, and tried to redraw the given picture. Just for the fun of painting and drawing. Since then - not often, but again and again - I have sat at the blank paper; meanwhile the paint box has been replaced by watercolors. And since then I've been trying to unravel the secrets of the art of painting: I try different brushes, I try different colors, I try different papers, hoping that one day the play with colors will turn into art somehow.
If you want, accompany me on the path to improvement as I rave around with the colors.
