Town of big thinkers near bridge I can see they have some type engineering skill to build a bridge but how great the derkir engineering is will depend on gap it crosses over and how well they built the bridge though I probably wouldn’t be able tell due my lack of experience in this kind of stuff.
We got 12 more pages left in this chapter (seeing as you like doing chapter in 40 pages) so it be a few weeks (seeings as we got 2 per week since your in college and definitely going give glimpse of what to come before than or least of region it in before you officially end chapter).
Definitely awesome story! I spent a good chunk of yesterday reading through your entire series and have enjoyed it immensely! I'm excited to see where things will go in the future as a new chapter of events unfolds. I'm curious if Jat is going to end up trying to travel with Oli (or well, I guess just Hiker, now) and Forl or if he's going to go back to the Star Den with Ralan.
I did have a small question on pronunciation. With the word "yek", is that pronounced more like 'yeah'? or more like it's spelled, 'yeck'? I've seen other similar words said, depending on who's speaking, so the dialect changes. There's been "yeah" and "yep" said as well. I' didn't see that word on the owyhee dialect reference you had from a while back.
It's been fun trying to speak in the dialect though. Reminds me of some of the elements of the 'southern' drawl as well as some of what you get out in the west/mid-west. Definitely a really neat integration into a story, I think!

Hey glad you like the story! I got plans for next chapter and to be honest I am worried that folks may not like it, but it is planned to be something of a positive direction.
As for who stays and goes and why, one way to find out eh?
Yek as a word that is generally said as the phonetics read, sort of like a "Yep" or "Yip" (or sometimes a "Yap" for northern speakers of the Cascadian Dialect).
Yep is more of a Rockies dialect term and, as the Dragons of Paradise live in the Sawtooth Mountain, their dialect mixes a bit with those spoken in places like Montana and the Canadian Rockies as well as a bit of that more Northern Idahoan dialect. The old language overview is a bit outdated (not by much) so the northern Idahoan cultures and tribes speak a more distinct dialect from the central and Southern Idahoan folks. And the Perrineans (Originally Called Falmritians) speak their own transitory dialect between the northern Idahoan and the Uton Dialects.
I mean as an Idahoan trust me, in the more rural parts of Central-Southern Idaho and Northern Utah it sounds a bit twangy and I grew up in that sort of environment so for that particular dialect I am pulling from more personal experiences. So I am glad that came through

It's definitely interesting hearing some of the dialects and see some similarities and differences from the "southern" drawl kind of accents I've heard down here. Of course, a lot of my family is from up in the New England area, so there's some unique dialects and accents there as well. It's nice to see so much effort to try and really bring that out. Some of the phonetics are a little bit strange to me in how they're portrayed. But I can understand most of it, at least. :)
Also, don't worry about whether or not we're going to like or dislike what happens. I'm here along for the ride of the story that "you" want to tell. :)

If I can reach to the NE trust me the accents there will be quite strong and very different from the ones in Idaho. Though the Perrinean Accent is in the same family as the Broncen and Scorcher Accents but is notably a departure.
It is important to mention that these aren't just local accents, these are dialects that have formed from regional accents and dialects. So they tend to have exaggerations, new words and new phonetical or grammatical rules on top of everything
and thanks! Ill try my best to keep things goin strong
